The Technique الأسلوب
Taklel is an ancient construction technique from the Hijaz region — a method of interlocking wooden elements without nails or adhesives, relying solely on precision geometry and tension. The same principle that held the mashrabiyya screens of old Jeddah together now holds the bones of each piece we create. تكليل هو أسلوب بناء قديم من منطقة الحجاز — طريقة لتشابك العناصر الخشبية دون مسامير أو لواصق، تعتمد فقط على الهندسة الدقيقة والتوتر. المبدأ ذاته الذي كان يربط شبابيك المشربية في جدة القديمة يربط الآن عظام كل قطعة نصنعها.
Every piece we design begins not at a drawing board, but at an archive — studying facades, wooden screens, carved plaster, and the shadows they cast. كل قطعة نصممها لا تبدأ في لوحة الرسم، بل في الأرشيف — ندرس الواجهات، والشبابيك الخشبية، والجص المنقوش، والظلال التي تلقيها.

مصباح الرواشين
Inspired by the iconic Rawashin — the projecting wooden bay windows of old Jeddah — this table lamp translates their latticed geometry into light itself. Each element interlocks without fasteners, held by the same ancient Taklel technique. The small flower embellishment on the base is a direct citation of Hijazi floral carving. مستوحى من الرواشين الشهيرة — المشربيات الخشبية البارزة في جدة القديمة — يترجم هذا المصباح الطاولي هندستها المشبكية إلى ضوء بحد ذاته. كل عنصر يتشابك دون مسامير، محمول بأسلوب التكليل القديم. الزهرة الصغيرة على القاعدة اقتباس مباشر من زخارف الحجاز الزهرية المنقوشة.

Taklel was founded by four architects who share a deep conviction: that Saudi Arabia's architectural heritage is among the richest and most underrepresented in the global luxury market. We have spent years studying facades, vaults, and carved wooden screens — and we decided to stop studying and start making. أسس تكليل أربعة معماريين يتشاركون قناعة عميقة: أن التراث المعماري السعودي يُعدّ من أغنى التراثات وأقلها تمثيلاً في سوق الفخامة العالمي. قضينا سنوات ندرس الواجهات والأقبية والشبابيك الخشبية المنقوشة — وقررنا أن نتوقف عن الدراسة ونبدأ في الصنع.
